Vandana Sharma

Vandana Sharma is a Senior Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY). Since joining the Bank in 2013, Vandana has led various Dedicated Supervisory Teams with oversight of financial institutions in the domestic and foreign portfolios. As part of these responsibilities, she led some of the Federal Reserve System’s supervisory efforts to evaluate the largest U.S. banks’ approaches to firm-wide stress testing, capital planning and integrated risk management.

In her time at the Bank, Vandana has served on several system-wide initiatives including the Capital and Performance Secretariat and more recently the Sub-committee for Liquidity. Vandana is also an active participant in FRBNY’s Governance and Culture Reform Strategic Initiative.

Vandana is a strong supporter of the Bank’s diversity and inclusion initiatives including serving as a leadership advisor to the Asian Professional Networking Alliance (APNA). Vandana has been mentor to several members of the Supervisory Development Program.

Prior to assuming her current role as a regulator, Vandana spent approximately 20 years as a risk manager covering the banking, insurance and structured finance sectors. Vandana received her MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University and her B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
