Kate Prochaska is Head of Regulatory Policy at Discover Financial Services. In her role, she leads strategy and execution for regulatory policy engagement across the enterprise with all relevant Federal agencies.
Prochaska was formerly Vice President and Regulatory Counsel at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC) where she led the consumer finance FinTech and other issues. Previous to CCMC, she served as vice president and regulatory counsel for the Consumer Bankers Association.
A San Diego native, she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she recently was named Pepperdine Law’s 50 under 50. She is admitted to the California Bar, and is an active member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association Executive Committee, Exchequer Club, and Women in Housing and Finance (where she received the 40 under 40 award).
