John has been with the Federal Reserve System since 1996, joining the Board in 2014. John is a Deputy Associate Director and Co-Chair of the LISCC Governance and Controls Committee, a member of the LISCC Operating Committee, and serves in various committee roles overseeing the supervisory program. Prior to joining the Board, John worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond where he led the team responsible for the safety and soundness of a systemically important financial institution. While with the Richmond Federal Reserve, John also led the Market and Liquidity Risk Team and was a member of several dedicated supervisory teams responsible for the supervision of large and complex firms. John had stints in both the community bank and regional organizations' supervision, and worked for a community bank for 5 years after graduating college. John graduated cum laude from the University of Buffalo in 1991 with a degree in mathematics and economics, holds the CFA designation, and earned a Master of Science in Banking and Financial Management from Boston University.
