As the Managing Director of Payment Strategy at Jack Henry & Associates, Deborah Matthews Phillips combines her expertise in payments industry issues, compliance, marketplace intelligence, product management and marketing to drive strategy and innovation.
Deborah has contributed to advancing the payments industry through a variety of leadership positions. Deborah is currently serving as Vice Chair of the board of directors of the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC) and is Chair of the FPC Operations Committee. Deborah represented Jack Henry on the Federal Reserve Bank’s Faster Payments Task Force and was elected to serve on the Task Force’s Governance Framework Formation Team. Deborah has been actively involved in various industry councils, including serving as Chair of the NACHA Internet Council, and is currently a member of the Payment Innovation Alliance Advisory Committee.
Deborah is a recognized speaker, presenting at national and regional venues and is a frequent contributor to a wide variety of magazines and trade publications. She earned the prestigious AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) designation in 2001. Deborah holds a degree in Communications from Northwestern University. She continued her education with Master’s level courses in Organizational Change Leadership at the University of Wisconsin, and earned executive certificates from Cornell University and University of Southern California.
