Carolyn Criscitiello is the Head of Digital Payments for HSBC’s Retail Banking and Wealth Management Group, a division of HSBC Bank USA, N.A., and a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc (NYSE: HSBC), one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations. She is responsible for developing the digital payments strategy and implementation for electronic payments; including Bill Payments, Wire, Global Transfers, Real Time Payments and other methods. Prior to joining HSBC, Criscitiello was the Head of Innovation, a first for M&T Bank, leading research, design and development of new service offerings including Merchant Services and new Payments technologies. Prior to this she headed Mobile Banking, ATM Services, POS/EFT networks, and Emerging Channels at M&T Bank. Criscitiello has the distinction of being recognized by the US Patent and Trademark Office as an inventor of an Anti-Skimming device to prevent card data theft from ATM machines. Criscitiello’s other involvement includes being active member of the ABA Payment Systems, TCH Real Time Payments, and EWS Zelle Advisory Committees. She has a BS in Marketing from Canisius College.
