Adam Rust is a Senior Policy Advisor at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. He advocates on behalf of consumers in emerging areas of financial services, including fintech, small-dollar credit, and payments. He was the Director of Research at Reinvestment Partners from 2005 to 2020, where he worked on similar issues and also led a fintech startup. He helped to establish the US Faster Payments Council and is currently serving his second term as a member of its Board of Directors. Adam wrote “This Is My Home,” a book outlining policy initiatives for manufactured housing communities, and served on the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee.
Adam has graduate degrees in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
